You could try posting to the architecture newsgroup. Since roof gardening is
mostly containers, any information on containers would be useful. Drip
irrigation, too. But the most important thing, I think, is the weight bearing
ability of a roof, for which you need information on engineering/architecture.
Or, you could try Sunset Magazine's website...they have had a number of
articles about roofgardening in the past.
