if you really are smart, you would inoculate your compost pile with edible
mushrooms, then you would get
- readily available nutrients thanks to the mushrooms and
- and extra veggie.
i have done so with the wood chips in my asparagus bed. results next year,
but i already have a shiitake-inoculated log which is great.
