Have any of you had any difficulty with the weed ordinances that
prohibit you from growing native plants or practicing environmentally
sound gardening techniques because the city wants front yards to be made
up of a lawn, mowed and green?
I was considering planting an area of my front yard with native grasses
and plants until someone told me a story that both angered and
frightened me about what cities who choose to enforce those ordinances
can do. I wrote that story up to warn other people - and hope you will
read it and comment on what might be done to change things.
