Larry London posted looking for a source for English-type
high quality hand gardening tools. He listed Smith & Hawkins,
Langenbach, and Peaceful Valley Farm Supply and wanted to
know others.

A.M. Leonard has a good selection of good tools and they
have good prices. Their web site is www.amleco.com
and their phone number is 800.543.8955. They are in Piqua,
Ohio and they do mail order. I think that Leonard's "pro quality"
tools are first rate.

Denman Tools in Placentia, California is, in my opinion, one of the
best tool supply houses anywhere around. They handle a wide
variety of high quality tools from all over. I don't think they actually
make any themselves and are just involved in retail trade. I think
they do mail order but I'm not totally sure. They are in the process
of moving to Orange, California (we were in their store just a few
days ago) and I have no ideas of their new address.
