Subject: adding N to compost From: "Steve Selin" <sselin@vt.edu> Organization: Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia, USA Date: Sat, 17 Jul 99 19:13:43 Message-ID: <MOD$990717.12671@rec.gardens.ecosystems>
I have found some horse bedding to use as compost. It is old (months to
years), but composed mostly of small wood chips (.5cm). I am assuming that
decay is delayed b/c the C/N ratio is too high.
I have added some of the bedding into my garden beds, but am worried that
the C/n is too high.
Can I just add N fertilizer to it to help it decay faster?
