go to the business section of your local big library and check out the books of
statistics. This is how business people construct business plans to attract
investors. I know because I had to do it for a business class. There
are tons of books put out by many different organizations--some non-profit,
some government (like census statistics), some for-profit. Our main library
here (San Francisco) has hundreds of volumes of various statistics. Of course,
with so much information, asking the librarian for help is essential.
