Rapunzel in Zone 7b in Arkansas says that
he/she is having problems with evil green
beetles on roses and asks for organic methods
to control.

My suggestion is that you first identify the
"evil green beetle". Once you know who you're
up against and their life cycle, figuring out
prevention and/or control methods becomes
relatively easy. The original post says that the
critters look like green lady bugs with black
spots. Are you really sure that they are the culprits?

Maybe the local County Agent or local rose growers
or the consultant rosarians for the American Rose
Society could help in identifying the critter that is
chewing up your garden.
