Below are both for the same address. Take your pick. This includes a picture
of a larva. Evidentally, there are many types of syrphid fly. I was hoping to
find more details on the larvae. The one I'm trying to identify has
brownish-gray stripes and white stripes going the length of the body. It's
about 1/2 inch long and has a terra cotta colored head area. Is it friend or
foe?
