I know this sounds simple, but I've had great success by providing a
clean, reliable source of water and food for the birds.

In the "off" season, I hang multiple feeders in the area of my vegetable
garden. The birds continue to visit the site during summer, though the
feeders are removed. (Provide several birdbaths year-round.)

Also, try to limit the number of cats in your garden.
