Respected Srimaan Sadagopanji,
Please accept my humble prostrations.
I am glad that Sriman Narayanan has acceded to my longing for knowing the meanings of Arunam and has sent me across to "Oppilliappan" group to partake the amrutam oozing out of your pen.
Your kindselves have asked the 'shishyas' like me to clarify whether we would like the approach of word-by-word meaning or the gist of the mantras. BrahmaSri-ji, amrutam in any form is amrutam and what you think as suitable for us is more than enough for us.
But sitting across more than 1000 miles and not meeting the 'shishyas' like me, you may not be aware of 'agnayam' of people like me. Before posting this reply, I went back to check your previous posting and found that without your guidance, I wouldnt have the knowledge to add "The word "apa" each time to " hita" for providing the meaning in all these prayers" (third mantram of first anuvakam)"
and to add the verb "bhavanthu" to sumruDeekA Saraswathi to make the meaning of the sentence.
Further, separating the pada in the correct way is beyond the capacity of agyanis like me and your word by word translation will go a long way in imprinting the import of vedic knowledge.
Of course, I understand the terrific time pressure and other constraints you undergo without any respite in the noble cause you have undertaken and your preferences are paramount before anything else.
With shastanga namaskarams,
narayanan
