SRIMATHE RAMANUJAYA NAMAHA. I request the bhagavathas to enlighten me regarding the doubts given below. (1) Which is right, Purusha kAram or PurushA kAram? (Is sha dheergam?) I raise this doubt because though I find the word as purusha kAram in Shree vachana bhoshanam and Mumukshuppadi and their respective moola urai written in manipravala nadai, I find this word written as purushA kAram (with sha in dheergam) in Tamil translations and explanations. (I refer to Alliance publications in Tamil.) (2) Are these two words inter-changeable? If not, what is the meaning of PurushA kAram? I would also like to know the Sanskrit derivative of this term. (2) Mumukshuppadi tells about ?pEru? being derived from Peria piratti (in dhwayam) (verse 118). In Manavala mamunigal vyakhyanam I find the explanation as ?purushArtha lAbham?. What is pushArtha lAbham and is it connected with the root meaning of purusha kAram? Regards, Jayasree Saranathan __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Friends. Fun.
