AchArya Hrdhayam
sUthram 227-6
The ninth Ten.
THE TRYST WITH THE LORD ALMIGHTY after
THE TEN STAGES

It was seen that Love is a waiting game. Can it go on endlessly? what is the final scene are the questions which may raise? What is this waiting? What are its nature and the evolution and what happens in the final stages are explaine herein.

"inipathil onRu dhasama dhasaiyilEA pEAr enRu  nAt kadalAga thambik kittAdhAgAmal, nALai vadhuvai pOlEa nALidap peRRavar.."

 The Ten stages of Love
1. First -sight and the resultant love and desire;
2. Second - thinking of that ;
3. Third- the same thinking;
4. Fourth- Sleeplessness;
5.Fifth- physical dilution;
6. Sixth- indifference towards other things;
7. Seventh- shylessness;
8. Eighth- behaving like one afflicted by madness;
9. Ninth- fainting and
10. Tenth- death
 are the ten stages of love.

Similar to this, AzhwAr is reaching the final stage in the pathAm pathu - the tenth ten. Hence, there is no delay but the time is ripening for the meet. The final stage has come near, unlike in bharadhAzhwAn's case where  it was fourteen long years away. This is akin to the Lord fixing date for sri ANdAL's union -tomorrow is the d-day- "nALai vadhuvai" -- and the Lord Almighty assures AzhwAr,"your great devotion will be fulfilled on your release from this body". The Tryst with the Lord was thus fixed by the Lord Himself. After all the Lord is also waiting eagerly hence, like the final stage mentioned hereinabove, the physical release is the triggerfing point of AzhwAr's union with the Lord and that is

The tryst with the Lord Almighty which is explicitly and categorically expressed in thirukkaNNapuram  thiru voi mohzi 9-10-5
