The white cloth wound round the head of the Devas, who bow in great devotion-as a prelude to the placement of the Lord's Paaduka (or Sataari) appears like the lustrous halo emanating from the moon of the nails of the feet, a halo-nectar uncontrollably overflowing and therefore spread out as it were, on the head.
(The white cloth is referred to as Seshapata, appropriate to the Seshas we are. It is called Parivattam in Tamil parlance).
