Sri: SrimatE Gopaladesika MahadesikAya Namaha, Dear Sriman Sadagopan Swamin, Thank you very much for your superb exposition on verses 203-205 of the RPS. Indeed, unimaginable auspiciousness prevailed during the reign of the Padhukas. The RamayaNa Katha Sangraha describes the rule of the Padhukas as "PadhukE chAsya rAjyAya nyAsandatthva punah punaha" The Nyasam referred to in this passage takes on special meaning in light of Swami Desikan's RPS salutations. Specifically, it refers to the Margam of SharaNagati as established by Swami NammAzhwar and unfailingly practised by successive Sadacharyas in his line forming an unbroken chain all the way to Lord Narayana. For one who undergoes Prapatti at the feet of a Sadacharya, no inauspiciousness can result. They are guaranteed of Yoga Kshemam. The latter half of the Ramayana passage refers to the fact that Sadacharyas offer in an impartial manner SharaNagati to all who approach them, regardless of caste, creed, sex, affiliation or attainments. In the Daya Shatakam Swami Desikan glorifies the margam of Prapatti as "Jagati hitamna nastvayi BharanyasanADhikam" and in the Mahaveera Vaibhavam Swami Desikan glorifies the rule of the Padhukas as " PadhukAgriyAbhisheka nirvarthita sarvalOka yOga kshema" Namo Narayana, SriMuralidhara Dasan
