Dear Ma'am , You are perfectly right in saying that it is the older age group which is corrupted in life style watching all or most of the T.V serials. They are not role models .Yet I would say that some sort of powerful motivation Like your postings does a lot indeed. It is 'televisham'.To take the 'visham' out there has to be an antidote. The TV news that highlight only the ugly things hat happen araound us is even more harmful than the serials . What can we do except stop watching them and make our children also do so. It is the elders who get addicted to these channels and live in the make-belief world. As sri satyasaibaba used to say it is televisham. > > But one consolation is that thw awareness for devotion and spirituality is also growing as compered to what it was before a decade or so. I have become a member in orkut and see so many youngsters getting interested in spiritual matters that made mewonder because I rather thought that it is for modern kids and an old person talking about God and related matters will be shunned but I get more than 100 friends who read my posts and klike to interact with me ,90% of them being in the age group20 to 30.So the future is safe in the hands of the young generation I think. It is the age group above 40 to60 or so who are addicted to TVserials. That is my observation. I may be wrong. But I join with you in wishing for the advent of the Lord to reform the society. > saroja Ramanujam. > > > > > > Dr. Saroja Ramanujam, M.A., Ph.D, Siromani in sanskrit. > Please visit http://www.geocities.com/sarojram18 > http://freewebs.com/asrama3 > > > > > > > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell. > Oppiliappan Koil Varadachari Sadagopan http://www.sadagopan.org Yahoo!
