Dear All,
This was written about 4-5 years back. Just thought I would share this
excellent
choorNai from SVB with others. Most of you would have read and enjoyed this,
I am sure. Anyway, here it is...

----------------------------------------------------------------------
"thanakkERa itam peRRa vaLavilE "en uuraic connaay, en
pEraic connaay, en atiyaarai nNOkkinaay avar_kaL vitaayaith
thiirththaay, avar_kaLukku othuNGka nNizalaik kodiththaay" enraap pOlE
cilavaRRai ERittu, matimaaNGkaayittup pon vaaNiyan ponnai
uraikallilE uraiththu mezukaalE eduththuk kol kazaNYcu enRu
thirattumaa pOlE,"

This is the first choorNai of the 4'th prakaraNam. He starts by saying,
"dhEsAndhra gadhanAna puthran pakkalilE pithru hrudhayam kidakkumAp pOlE..."

Then Svami goes further to say, "en ooraich chonnAy, en pEraich chonnAy, en
adiyArai nOkkinAy, avargaL vidAy thIrththAy, avargaLukku odhuN^ga nizhal
koduththAy enRAp pOlE silavaRRai ERittu ..."

In the vyAkyAnam by SRi maNavALa mAmunigaL, he explains it amazingly.
PerumAL
looks even at his ignorant adiyArs and tries to find some good meaning out
of
their actions. Somebody would have said," I am going to rob all the jewels
from
the thiruppathi temple". PerumAL would find something good in that he
mentioned
the name of the dhivya dhEsam (en ooraich chonnAy) and likewise en pEraich
chonnAy...

"madimAN^gAyittu" - This is an expression that describes an action by which
a
person is made guilty through a trick. This innocent person would be just
walking through a mango grove. Without his knowledge a mango would be placed
in
his bag. While he is leaving the grove he will be searched and found guilty.
Using this negative expression in a positive sense, here the usage of madi
mAn^gAyittu is interpreted such that perumAL would do something to the
innocent, ignorant adiyAr just so that He can use that as an excuse to save
him
and get him closeby. He longs so much for us.

"pon vANiyan ponnai uraikallilE uraiththu mezhugAlE eduththuk koL
kazhaNYchu
enRu thirattumAp pOlE..." -

Goldsmiths rub the gold on a stone to test its purity. SOme minute golden
dust would fall down due to this. He would use wax and carefully collect all
those little particles of gold. He has to be extremely careful because they
are
very small and there won't be that many. Likewise perumAL very carefully
searches for our very little good deeds which are very small in number and
carefully collects them just so that He can use that to to have enough
reason
to protect us and get us near Him.
