THIRUPPAVAI SWAPADHESAM SREMATH PARAMAHAMSA VANAMAMALAI JEEYAR Continuing on the swApadhEsam it was seen that like minded souls were sought as company from 6th to 15th pAsuram of thiruppAvai. The sixth pAsuram : In this pAsuram a devotee who is new to the krishNAnubhavam is invited to the ghOshti. (puLLum silambina kAN) It is seen that those who are already in this field, try to make other sreVaishNavites also so experienced, without any expectation. They feel that it is their duty. isnt this a srEvaishNavite trait? The seventh pAsuram: A soul who is immersed in the thoughts of krishNAnubhavam is called for such an exprience. The spirit here is that the experience should be mutual and hence, the like minded souls should also be included in ones fold.( kEchu kEchu) The Eighth pAsuram: A devotee who is considered by Lord krishNA as enjoyable is sought after. It is thus observed that such devotees are not to be segregated but in fact the worship itself should be at their behest.(kEzh vAnam) The Ninth pAsuram: Here a devotee is patiently waiting for the Lord's arrival without any restlessness. However, the other class who are clutched by zest to meet Him, seek her company. It is thus stressed here that those who are not able to be patient -since, the end attainable makes them so- to seek those who are so tolerant and patient call them. Isnt this a natural srEvaishNavic characteristic? ( thUmaNi mAdathu) The Tenth pAsuram: Here, a devotee who is sought by the Lord in contrast to devotees seeking the Lord,is invited to the ghOshti. Therefore, it is to be understood that even those devotee who are in fact sought by the Lord are not to be envied but to be eagerly called into our fold.
