Sri:
Srimate Ramanujaya Namaha
Dear Bhaktas
Sri Ramayana Tanislokam discourse on 3rd Dec IST 9 pm.
Rama is revered by valmiki as " satrO: prakhyAta vIryasya ranjanIyasya
vikramai:.." Rama's valour makes his enemies even fall for him in praise.
None other than sUrpaNakhA, tArA and mandOdarI praise Rama's divine
attributes.
This lecture session would be on sUrpaNakhA stotram in AraNya kAnda
"taruNou rUpasampannou sukumArou mahAbalou
pundarIka visAlAkshou cIrakrishNAjinAmbarou"
This demoness forgets her bleeding ears and nose absorbed in the beauty of
Rama. Vaidika sampradaya firmly believes that the divine body of Sriman
Narayana cleanses us of all our karma. Valmiki surprisingly unveils the
beauty of Rama and Lakshmana in the words of sUrpaNakha. This sloka has been
the favourite of all our pUrvAcaryAs and sampradaya vidwans as it formed the
basis for many hymns in 4000. Sri Periavachan pillai
has been at his best in
the elaborate commentary of this sloka (not that he is lesser in others).
Let us together have a divine experience.
Velukkudi Krishnan.
