Smt. Padma, In its purest form, the philosophy and spiritual practices of Sri Vaishnavam are intended to be an enjoyment of the Wonder that Sriman Narayana is. The intent of going around the temple is to see Thayar, the Azhwars, and the Acharyas, as well as the beauty of the temple architecture, saving the "best for last" with a visit to the inner sanctum of the Supreme Being. Consequently, one really need only do this once, only out or respect for this, and if times and conditions permit. The hard and fast rituals of performing pradakshanams so many number of times has only come into vogue as people have lost touch with this natural spiritual enjoyment in favor of more codified methods. I hope this helps. adiyen padmasowriraja wrote: > Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya! > > Could anyone please let me know how many pradakshanam(s) should we do > in the temple?should it be in odd or even numbers ? > Regards, > Padma Rajan > > > > > > > > > > > >Azhvar EmberumAnAr JeeyAr ThiruvadigalE Saranam >http://www.vedics.net > > >Yahoo!
