Respected devotee,

I have found that buying Thiruman/Srichu:rnam from a store, even if it is one located outside a temple, can be bit risky, as there is the potential of artificial chemicals and sometimes event paint to be mixed in with them.

The best thing to do is to either check with a mutham on the availibility of these, or to obtain through a friend or relation who has contacts to those in divya de:sham who actually make them in the traditional manner. The formula for making these auspicious symbols are usually limited to the families who have heriditary rites to them.

Dear Devotees,
Pranam. I request you to provide information on how to make Srichoornam at home. Please enlighten if there are any guidelines given by our revered Acharyas regarding this. The reason is my father gets allergy when applying Srichoornam some bought from store and I suspect that maybe there are some chemicals added in them.
Pranam
