Dear sri vaishNava perunthagaiyeer,

After reading the series of thirup paLLi ezhichchi series of sreemaan
Sadagopan swamin, I should not step in to offer something on that topic.
But since I just got the inspiration from this krithi, of OVS, thought
of offering to you all, a write up on a thirup paLLi ezhichchi of my
kaNNan, krishNan. Here is the krithi [first].

raaagam : bhoopaaLam thaaLam : aadhi

meaning: mother yasOdhaa wakes up krishNa her son saying "krishNa, get
up, my dear son, it is already dawn, also the morning sun is rising up.
The full moon is about to sink into or under the noisy sea. The shining
blue colour dressed elder brother of you [viz. balaraama] is making fun
of you [for this delayed waking up]. So kaNNaa, krishNaa, my dear son,
get up".

anupallavi:

irregular step]
        * the feet jingling with the thaNdai - the anklets

hey krishNa - I already finished the churning of curd resulting in good
amount of butter, father as well as king nandha gOpaalan has already
reached here to see you waken up, hey krishNa why wasteful talking
saying ammaa amaa please wait, hey, nowadays you are a little more
adamant. So no more talks get up from bed.

Charanam 1:

meaning: hey krishNaa, if you are really sleeping, will your legs do
the tapping [for the music heard]; when the eyes are sleeping, will the
smiles emanate from lips; hey, can you allow the butter just collected
in the pot to be swallowed by your elder one balaraama, today's star is
your birthstar, do you know this. So get up from bed, hey krishNa.

The sage garga has come [to see you] who is generally not available,
even if we search for him, he stood here asking "where is my darling
krishNa where is my darling krishNa". The sage naaradhar, who cannot be
seen even if we do crores of reverential offers [penance], also came and
stood playing the veeNaa to see your smile. So please get up my krishNa.

charanam 2:

        * in the ears - what -is it that that girls ear stud
[found in your ears]?
        * in the eyes new collerium even before you get up - whose
handiwork is this?
Hey, enough of your pretence, get up, dawn is up.

Dear bhakthaas, just enjoy the krithi of waking up krishNa. We will see
some points in the next post how periyaazhvaar, the duplicate mother
yasOdhaa, wakes up krishNa, plus some points on this krithi.
