Dear BhAgavathAs: Adiyen begs to differ about this. The prOkshaNa mantram "aapO hi shta mayObuva" is part and parcel of the sandhyavanthana kramam. To the best of adiyen's knowledege, manthra snanam is to be recited only if some one is not well or on travel and can not take bath. This can be recited only under exceptional circumstances when one canot take bath. Also this can be recited if one becomes impure while doing some ritual. Adiyen may please be excused for any error on adiyen's part. dAsan Srinivasan Azhvar EmberumAnAr JeeyAr ThiruvadigalE Saranam http://www.vedics.net Yahoo!
