Jai srIman nArAyana:
adiyEn would like to know more about certain aspects in the context of our sampradaya. adiyEn begs your pardon for the ignorance.
1. In Sri Ramayana, there is an incident where the glory of sun god is extolled by Sage Agastya (Aditya Hridayam). In that sloka, sage Agastya says:
"yesha brahmascha ……" which translates to:
"Indeed, He is the same as
Brahma as well as Vishnu, Lord Shiva,
Skanda, Prajapati, the mighty Indra,
Kubera, Kala, Yama, Soma, Varuna, the
Pitris, the Vasus, the Sadhyas, the
Ashwins, the Maruts, Manu, Vayu, and
the god of Fire. He constitutes created
beings, ………………………………..."
adiyEn's question is: How srIman nArayana can be equated with other gods? Is he not the one without equal as we know from Purusha Suktham, Narayana Suktham and other puranas(sAttvika)?
2. In the life of Sri Ramanuja, there is an incident wherein he shares the ashtakshari secret to all against the dictate of Thirukkoshtiyur Nambi. Though Nambi forgives him, my question is how does Udayavar's action gel with aAndal's "Melor seyyadhana seyyom…….." and Varavara muni's "munnor mozhindhathai murai thappame seidhu….." concepts?
Note: These questions are asked due to adiyEn's ignorance and yearning for an enlightening clarificiation. If this mail is deemed to stir a hornet's nest, moderator may kindly block this mail.
