Dear SrEvaishNavites,

He stresses on the vision of the Lord of Oppiliappan.

In the 7th paasuram of Periya Thirumozhi 6.1 , Thirumangai states his
disinterest in the performance of Kaamya Karmaas prescribed by
the four VedAs to gain one or other worldly pleasures through the offering
of
consecrated aahUthis for different DEvAs like Indhran.

Some  seek Iswaryam like Svarga Vaasam; others seek cattle ,
progeny etc. For instance , one of the Rg Vedam verses (VI.46.3) prays:

" We invoke the resplendent Lord , the destroyer of mighty evil forces
and the Supervisor of all things. May You equipped with a thousand powers ,
grant us blessings for triumphs in the struggles of life ."

In another instance , One PoorvArchika Saaman( 366 ) prays :
"  Oh resplendent Lord , performer of hundreds of benovolent deeds ,
liberal is Your munificience  and extensive Your bounty . So , Oh observer
of all , and benovolent guardian , May You grant us opulence by your
glory and grace ".

Rg Vedam ( VIII.71.14) is very specific in its prayer for wealth for
the YajamAnan performing the Yaj~nam: " Solicit with Your hymns
for protection the adoirable fire divine (Agni) , whose bright and
consuming flames are spread all over .Praise the same for wealth .
Oh much renowned worshipper ! The other devotees are praising that
far-famed one on their own behalf. May You recommend to the same fire
divine for a house to me, His devotee" .

Most of these type of prayers for opulence , subhiksham in this
world are contained in Yajur Veda manthrams .

Thirumangai describes these anushtAnam of Kaamya KaarmAs
requesting one or other worldly wealth and says that he does not
need any of them over the darsana soubhAgyam of the Lord of
ThiruviNNagar :

urukku uRu naRu ney koNdArazhalil , irukkuRum anthaNar santhiyin vaay
perukkamodu amararkaL amara nalhum , irukkinil inn iai aanavanE
ANDAy Unnnaik-kANpathOr aruL yenakku aruLithiyEl
VENDEn manai vaazhkaiyai ViNNagar mEyavanE ----Periya Thirumozhi
: 6.1.7

Thirumangai sees an assembly of BrahmaNAs ( rthviks) performing homams
in VaidhikAgni in front of dEvAs seated majestically to recieve the
offerings of their Yaj~nams . The rthviks are performing these Yaagams
during the three sandhyAs with fragrant , freshly melted ghee and are using
the prescribed rks and Saamans and manthrams from the other two Vedams
for gaining alpa phalans like material wealth and blessings for comfortable
life in this world . Thirumangai is turned off from seeking such perishable
pleasures through misdirected use of the Rks and the sweet sounding Saamans
,
which are the body of the Lord . He vows against these Immai ( Here) and
the maRumai ( Hereafter) Iswaryams and seeks instead the bliss of seeing
in person the most resplendent Lord in His archA form at the dhivya dEsam of
ThiruviNNagar . He vows that he will give up the worldly ways immediately ,
if he is blessed with that soubhAgyam . " Irukkinil innisai anavanE ! ANDAi
!
ThiruviNNagar mEyavanE ! "
, Please grant me this boon and keep me away
from the pursuit of the life goal ( PurushArTam ) of arTam (worldly wealth)
among the four PurushArTams ( DharmArTa kaama mOksham ) through
the performance of homams prscribed in Karma KaanDam section of
Your  four VedAs .
