THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING LETTERS
No, svAmi, NO. Definitely this is not an extract
from either sherlock holmes or Agatha christie.
The tamil grammar is as old as the language. The
syntax therein have been laid out eons earlier.
Here adiyean hasten to add that this is not a write
up on thamizh ilakkaNam.
Devotees would have observed that some letters
in a word my not exactly match with the meter of the poetic lines
-pAsuram.
There is indeed a rhyme and reason for this.
The letter may thus be adjusted or altered to fit in to adapt to the
requirement of the concerned pAsuram.
For instance, the first pAsuram of the second
ThriuvAimozhi talks about relinquishing everything and surrenderign at the feet
of the Lord of Vaikuntham.
This should read as 'vidu min muRRavum vidu seidhu
-vummvuyir vEDudaiyan idai vEDu seiminEa'
