Removal of Miseries and Attainment of Happines

One of the blemishes which can creep into a poetic creation is 'repetition'. This is called 'punarukthi dhOsham'. Mentioning the same thing again and again.

When there is removal of misery -happiness ensues automatically. Hence, the words 'removal of miseries ' should suffice and the attainment of happiness appears to be repetitive.

This is from the ThriuppAvai pAsuram 'oruthi maganAi '

'varuthamum thErndhu magindhEAlOA'

varuthamum thErndhu -The removal of miseries;
magizhdal - Attainment of happiness.

A look into the vyAkyAnam-s for the word maginzhdu will throw light on this aspect

Unlike  the category of kEvalar-s who aim just at release from cycle of births and do not seek service at the feet of the Lord, the SrevAishNavites of AippAdi
look for His presence, seek Divine service at His feet for His sake (kuthEaval engaLaik koLLAmal pOgAdhu -mathai nam kAmangaL mAthEAlO)

Thus, varutham thErdhal does not just signify release from bondage but nearness to Him and magizhdal is service at His feet for His sake
