SriyaHpathippaDi post 1

Dear SrIvaishNavAs,
These days so many discussions are going on
priest-brahmin-cast issues, to this adiyEn can add
only one thing
â??jAthyASrama dIkshAikaLil chhEdikkum dharmangaL pOlE
atthANicchEvakatthil pothuvAnathu nazhuvumâ??
(31-Acharyahridayam)
"The commonly applicable obligations distinguishing
oneâ??s caste, stage of life and the resolve for
specific rituals at specific times will disappear when
one is engaged in the intimate service of lord.
(Meaning courtesy B.S.S. Iyengarâ??s book)"
So being a prapanna, we should resort to know our
selves, know the almighty, and then seek for the
everlasting service â??kainkaryamâ?? as yAm peru
sammAnam. That knowledge is the â??jIvAthuâ?? or anti
venom for this â??snakeâ?? bitten jivathma. Who else
can give that to us, other than swAmi piLLai
lOkAchAryar. As the year of his 800th birth
anniversary 2005-2006 finds itself in the pages of
history. Let us once again try to go back to the
anubhavamâ??s of piLLai ulahariyans works on esoteric
subjects.

The two books in the rahasya thraya section,
mumukshuppadi, and yAdriSchikappaDi are already been
covered, in the past few posts, by srI T. A. Varadhan
swami and Sri T. C. A Venkatesan swami. As we know
there are 8 books on the rahasya thraya section, out
of the eight three of them are of moderate size, which
are mumukshuppadi, yAdriSchikappaDi and SriyaH
pathippaDi. adiyEn during the next few posts, try to
convey the message hosted in SrIyaH pathi paDi. The
rahasya granthas must be learned under an AchArya,
and the proceeding posts are in no way counted as
authoritative or last word. The whole idea of the
postings is to create a taste to learn the rahasya
granthas in more and more deeper sense. Any mistakes
and errors are entirely adiyEns fault. As adiyEn is
very much busy these days, always sitting under the
EPR machines, kindly excuse me if the posts become
infrequent.
