Sri Srinivasa Perumal Kulasekara Azhwar samprokshanam took place on the 22nd Nov with traditional fervor. Srimad Paramahamasetyadi Vanamamalai Jeer , Azhagia Manavala jeer, Cholasimhapuram Doddayachariar Swamy , 50 adhyapakals, 8 veda parayana karas graced the occassion. About 300 devotees from Chennai and other parts participated. The best part is that the local keralite bhaktas turned in huge numbers. A temple with Tanjore architecture, Pancharatrea agama, Srivaishnava priest and chanting of 4000 - this would be first in Kerala. ==================================================== My parents and brother were at Thiruvanjikalam for the samprokshanam. My parents were talking again and again about the temple, the construction, the organization of the event, co-ordination with localites etc.. Its been indeed a great honor to know and be able to interact with this massive phenomenon called Sri. U. Ve. Velukkudi Krishnan Swami - who realized the dreams of our yester year achAryas - i.e., to have a temple for Kulasekara Azhwar. Hailing from Coimbatore district (which borders a portion of Kerala) - which is not that known for Srivaishnava related events/activities, personally this is an exciting thing for me- as Thiruvangikalam is within few hours drive from our place. I cant wait to visit this temple the next time I go to India. One other thing was that, Sri. Thirukoshtiur Madhavan swami was at Thiruvanjikalam, hale and healthy, with the grace of emberuman. It seems that when he was brought to Apollo Hospitals in a serious condition couple of months ago (after being hit by someone), doctors later admitted that instead of smelling blood they smelled Tulasi. Isnt that great? I am sure emberuman would take care of people who inflicted physical pain on his devotee (or has He already done that?:) adiyen RAmAnuja DAsan Murali ------------------------ Yahoo!
