Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Dear BhAgavatas, There is no contradiction in these two statements. This universe is His playground and all actions are His game. Einstein's statement is reflective of the fact that this game and its outcomes are not a random act - that is, it is not just a probabilistic situation that is not even under the control of the Supreme Soul. Does God play - yes. Is the whole play just a random choice of events - no. By the way, in one of your other posts, you had refered to the bhakti exhibited by Azhvars as bhakti cult. While cult can be considered appropriate through its dictionary meaning, I would request you not to use it here because of the common negative aspect associated with that word. In Tamil, the phrase used is "bhakti paravasam" - what a beautiful coinage to describe the delight the azhvars showed in Him. AdiyEn is unable to think of a single word in English that will bring out all the meanings that the word paravasam brings out. adiyEn madhurakavi dAsan TCA Venkatesan http://www.acharya.org --- Vkr4@xxxx wrote: > Re: Napinnai's comments on God and Physics > But I still cannot understand Ramanuja's comment that the > universe is a sport
