Dear Simathe Vedavelli Ranganathan, There is a small correction which adiyen likes to point out in the following post Quote: " Let me give you some explanations as i know a little.VyasaDeva wrote all 18 puranas Six puranas each in satwik nature , Rajasic and Tamasic. and he only wrote all vedas" Unquote: VyasaDeva never wrote any of the vedas. He only did the mammoth task of classifying the ever existing vedas into Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atarvana. He did the classification into Karma Kandam and Gnyana Kandam. Karma kandam relates to Yagas and Yagnyas which give material benefit, where all the other deities such as sri Paramasivan, Srimathe Parvathy, Sri Skanda etc are glorified. But Gnyana Kandam relates to the Veda antham (end) that is why it is called VedAntha. They try to explore the characteristic of the lord. But they succeed only to a partial extent. Vedas dont have any creater like our beloved Lord. They are suppose to be the breath of the lord(Swasam of sriman Narayana). Learned members of this group may throw more light on this. Dear Vaishnava brother sunderrajan,, Let me give you some explanations as i know a little.VyasaDeva wrote all 18 puranas Six puranas each in satwik nature , Rajasic and Tamasic. and he only wrote all vedas.Other than in Satwik puranas different kind of demigods are glorified. In Devi Puranam Durga is glorified , Vinayaka in one and muruga in on and siva in one like that. People who are in lower modes used to worship these demigods thinking their worshiping deity is supreme.Thats the problem still going on in India. People worship according to their modes of nature.. And Finally vyasa was not satisfied and at that time Naradha Came there. and He asked the reason to Vyasa and he told that he was unhappy though he has written vedas and all puranas. then Naradha told him to write about Bhagwan Sriman Narayana and , His lilas and about His devottees. After Writing this Srimad bhagwatham Vyasa felt happy because he wrote about the Supreme truth. .Perumal is blissful (Vibhu) and we, being a part of him is Anu.As our atma is spiritual It is happy when it is connected with Supreme whole. Getting a birth of human being is very rare. There are 4 lakhs species of human being. In this human form of life getting a body of a brahmana is rare. Still getting a body of a Vaishnava is precious. In Bhagwath Gita Krishna says A vashnava is not seen by his caste or creed but only by his character. So those who are born in Vaishnava family should try to remain a pure Vaishnava in active life also. Vishnu is superior to all demigods. He is trancadental to this material world. Except Vishnu all the devas including Siva is considered a demigod. He is in a high position almost equal to Vishnu but not equal because he is connected with material nature , Durga. He is the pure devottee of Sankarshana, who is the supreme lord of Ego and annihilation. Siva is always chanting the glories of Sankarshana .Sankarshana is one of the forms .(Vasudeva, sankarshana,Pradhumna and Aniruddha) of Chathur Vyuha .Durga, vinayaka,Muruga all these devas also belong to this material world only.Sriman Narayana alone belong to spiritual world or Vaikuntha. He descends whenever there is necessary and take avatharas according to that. People belong to different modes of nature , and they worship according to their modes of nature.Let us all try to be pure Vaishnavas and worship only Lord Vishnu or Krishna or Rama or,Varadharaja,or Narasimha or anyother Vishnu form we like.
