Dear Ramanuja Dasargal
Of late photos taken inside Moolasthanam of important 'tirupathies'
are publised in the websites. When the utsavar is taken out for
Thiruther, theppam etc, it may be acceptable to take photos.
Certainly it should be prohibited inside the Moolasthanams. Even we
cannot get photos of Srirangam, Tirupathy Srinivasar, Kunaseelam
Perumal - only drawings are available. I leave this issue for
discussion of Sri Vaishnavas and scholars. Even I do not like to
print photos of Perumal and thayar in the wedding invitations. What
happens after the function? Even to destroy it or throw outside I
feel restless.
Some people may argue that this facility was not available those
days. Now we have gas connection - are we using this in
Thirumadapallies?
In Srirangam, when Lord Ranganathar is taken out, only 'Teevatties'
are taken and not petomox lamps.
My intention is not to hurt anyone kaingaryam.
Adiyen, Govindarajan
