Namaskarams to all, By the grace of Lord we were able to go to Mukthinath Nepal our 106th Divya Desam in July 1st week. We did not go in group my husband and myself went alone. As it was off season we were not able to join any helicopter ride. We went through Himalayan scenery treks and expedition [p] LTD in Themal. We had a very good guide called Gyanu. Here is his email address to contact him. bhatta_gyanu@xxxxxxxxx He is very good and very knowledgeable. He accompanied for the full trip.we went to pokra by bus from kathmandu from pokra we went to jomson from there we took horse for our journey to mukthinath. In Gantaki River we walked for 2 hours we did not find any salagrams. They are telling now salagrams are not getting that easily. Now the traffic is more and tractors for the carrying stones and motor bikes also take the passengers up to mukthinath. All these vehicles also goes in riverbed only. After walking in Gantaki river we took the horse ride to reach there it took 6and ½ hours to reach up. We enquired in the temple to the Buddhist priest they said now it is very rare to find one. Next day we came by walking all the way from muthinath to Jomson it took 5 hours for us. Now in muthinath one can get good lodge to stay with attached bath on the way also there are some eating places with bathroom facility. So while coming back our guide enquired on the way to village people they showed us some which were broken very badly they have put it on the sides of the houses without any care walking over salagrams. They need only Nepalese money not even Indian currency they are telling they have to go a long way to change only in mukthinath temple we found on Buddha bikshu telling us the photo of muthinath Indian currency rs10. When we went it was rainy season but we were so lucky there was no rain, the weather was good we were able to get the plane to Jomson on the very day we had bought the ticket. So trekking is not bad it is enjoyable. So we did not get any salagrams there. The guide told us that he has come there so many times trekking and he has got only two in his 12 years of service. He was also searching for me. We enquired in shop near pasupathinath temple, he said that they have to take dip in Gantaki River to get it and search for a long time. We had a very good dharsan in the temple we are happy to have completed all the divya desams. The guide told us the best time to come to muthinath is Aug ?Sept neither too hot nor too cold.
