Swamin

What is this?
Narayana Smaranam swamin. Fall in love with this
great name and hear it every second. ay it every
second. Mind will rest
easy. If you (or we feed) more feeble and transitory,
it is then
mind is uneasy and we become subject to what follows.
Om Namo Narayanaya namah!
Everything else will fade sometime or other.
Except this "petra thaiyinum aayeena seyum namo
narayana ennum namam"

When we reach a stage where we see and feel this
great name, then we are at the end of all things
transitory!

we should never engage in distractive discussions.
Let us have faith in the intelligence of Swamy
Nammazwar and Swamy Desikan. Why should we even
question what they have generously given us.
There is no need to prove which name is better,
what will happen if I did this...etc.
All these questions are beginner and useful at that
stage. Once we lock on to Narayana Smaranam then
there is no debate. Nor should we engage in those.

When we do we end up tearing beautiful children
amongst us who are born in different circumstances and
are not
able to follow everything that we "promulgate" to be
part of their family. We are offending them.

What we must focus on and nothing else is this
love affair with Sriman Narayana. Get our mind
wedded inseparably to Sri and Sriman Narayana.
Then it does not matter if I am wearing a symbol or
not
much less what symbol I am wearing. Furthermore, it
does not matter if I go to Church or a mosque or
any place of worship..while being focussed on
Sriman Narayana. And this great bhaktavatsala will
appear in the form we desire HIM.
I am not saying this.
Swamy Nammazwar has said so,
thanca maagiya thanthai thaayodu
thaanu maayavai allanaay,
enca lilama rarku lamudhal
moovar thammuLLu maathiyai,
anci neerula katthuL LeergaL!

More learned members can further beautify this
Pasuram.
All our blemishes
by choice or without choice HE overlooks.
adiyen did not choose to be born in a utthiramerur
Srimad Andavan parampara. Nor did my parents and my
sweet mother choose to stuff me in my windbag.
Being so why should we attribute any significance to
anything that goes with such a chance event.
Everytime a question comes to our mind questioning
these sort of fundamental notions, then we ought to
ask
do I know more than Swamy Desikan? Can I ever know
more than Swamy Desikan. The answer is obvious.
If not convinced then we ought to seek Swamy
Nammazwar and ask the same questions. We ought to be
convinced at this point.

All human contrived procedures are to be discounted.
Symbols, ways of dressing, are all ephemeral and are
not so consequential to maintain our love affair
with Sriman Narayana. HE is not looking for it.
We make this up here and make a big fuss. It is our
limitation. adiyen cannot forget the people in ecstasy
in Badri, Rishikesh and Haridhwar. None of them would
qualify for anything for my village priest. One must
see to get an idea of the enjoyment and communiion
with
the great one.

In saying this adiyen definitely has ventured into
a questionable land. Worse yet my words might even
be taken for disrespect or misguidance.

I have met and I have many friends who are born in non
Iyengar environment showing much more reverence and
love for Lakshmi Narasimha.
I am writing this not to offend the elderly and the
learned amongst us but to salute these others. Share
my
friendship with them. That is the community I want to
be
with. I do not know how to write this in a less
insinuating way. All please find room to forgive me
for saying all these, this afternoon.

Om Namo Narayanaya
Om Namo Bagavade Vasudevaya
Om Namo Vishnave

What we fail to see and derive out of these great
vakyams is not worth it. There is not such a thing.
We can get everythign from these great vakyams, like
Thirumangai Azwar has said.
Namo Narayana!
