Dear Bhagavathottamas,

" Chakshushshruthau nivishtam that divyam chakshuhu shruthairapi.
Chakshurdadhaathi Yadhbhaathi looka chakshushi Chakshushi"

-My maternal grandfather The great Asukavi Saarvabhauma Srinidhi swamy

The lord has given us eyes and ears & also the knwoledge to understand the
scriptures. He who is the eye of eye of the world will also give us the eyes to
see that.

Its an amazing slokam with several meanings and also powerful for eye patients
who would like to get their vision back. The prayer here is much beyond the
requirement of normal eye vision- it actually seeks eyes to see Lord's
manifestation in complete form!.

Amazing is Lords manifestation. Some great Bhakthas have constructed gigantic
temples for his abode. Some great Lord of temples adorn themselves with precious
ornaments and Jewels donated by Bhakthas who want to have darshan of
'sarvaalankaara sampanna' as much as possible. On the otherhand some erstwhile
great temples and Lord of temples languish without care from devotees. Probably
he wants to show to the world that he can be rich among the richest & poor
among the poorest (?).

In this context, I admire my grandfather who undertook fast till the
nithyathiruvaradhanam at Villur temple is restored & he achieved that goal in a
very short time! - an eye opener for many devotees !

Dear BhakthAs:

adiyEn is pleased to let you know that the Kaimakryam
will commence by the third week of this Month.

The expert AchAri From Nagarkoil known for this kind
of special jewelery construction will stay at my sister's
house to do this kaimkaryam.

The plan is to start with Lord DevanAthan's Sacred feet
as the first step .

At this time , adiyEn seeks the auspicious wishes of
all asthikAs and proceed with unwavering faith in
the Lord , who is so dear to Swamy Desikan.Together ,
the divya Dampathis of ThiruvahIndhrapuram and
Swamy Desikan and our AchAryaas should show the way
to complete this kaimkaryam .

adiyEn concludes this note with reflection on the first
Paasuram of NavamaNi Maalai. Swamy Desikan
elaborated in this Paasuram on the Vaibhavam of
those sacred Thiruvadis of the Lord of ThiruvahIndhrapuram
this way :

How can one describe the soulabhyam ( Ease of
access ) of the sacred Thiruvadi of the Lord , which
incarnated at Thiruvahindhrapuram for the ujjeevanam
(upliftment ) and the permanent enjoyment of Them
by the people of this karma BhUmi?

The lotus Thiruvadis of the Lord , who is true to His
adiyArs ( adiyavarkku Meyyan) , charm the minds of
ParamaikAnthis , who did not think of any one else
as their Lord and do not seek any boons other than
Kaimkaryam to Him .For them, there is no upAyam and Phalan
except the dhyAnam of those sacred pair of feet . Such is
the Vaibhavam of those sacred feet !

During the ThrivikramAvathAram , those scred
feet grew to gigantic heights to keep all the worlds
under Them .Such is their Vaibhavam!

Those sacred feet generated the holy Ganga
and made Her flow through the huge matted locks of
Lord Sivan and made Him Parisuddhan ! Such is
their Mahimai!

During KrishnaavathAram , the very same sacred feet
danced on the hoods of the egotistic serpent , KaaLiyan
and performed dushta nigraham ! Those Paadhams
chose KaaLiyan's head as the dance stage(Ranga BhUmi).

Those sacred feet have the special power as means(upAyam)
to gian the boon of Moksham as Phalan for adiyArs,
who seek Their protection.

They walked to the court of DuryOdhanan
as the ambassador for PaaNDavAs in response
to the appeal of the elder PaaNDavar , Dharma Puthran .

Those sacred and powerful feet pulverized the asuran,
who came to attack the Lord as a wheel (sakadam)
during the KrishnAvathAram with a single kick.

They are saluted by the SaasthrAs as the insatiable
nectar for adiyArs to cure the samsAric afflictions of
adiyArs .

Those beatiful and soft pair of Thiruvadis merge
with the hands of MahA Lakshmi as She presses
them gently.

Those sacred feet are always fragrant with the smell
of TuLasi.

Those Beautiful ThiruvadikaL give the sambhandham
to the gem-studded ankle jewelery (Silampu/Noopuram)
and add to their beauty .

During RaamAvathAram, those sacred feet restored
AhalyA from her stony form to that of the beautiful
wife of Sage Gouthama through their sambhandham
(association).

Those scred feet are celebrated by sakala VedAnthams
eternally.

During the ThrivikramAvathAram , they grew up to
BrahmA's abode (Sathya Lokam ) and towered over
the head of Brahma Devan and recieved AarAdhanam
by Brahma Devan.

These are the Thiruvadis , which through their offer of
protection to the chEthanams of this Karma BhUmi
uplift them to Their Supreme abode , SrI Vaikuntam.

How can one describe fully the soulabhyam of
those sacred feet of the Lord , which incarnated
for us at ThiruvahIndhrapuram ?

Swamy Desikan concludes this Paasuram with
a triumphant announcement :

Those lotus soft feet arrived now at Thiruvyindhai
for blessing the bhaddha Jeevans of this world :
" aruL tara yeNNI Ayindhai vanthana".

In the sixth Paasuram of Nava MaNi Maalai , Lord
DevanAthan 's unparalleled beauty is saluted by
Swamy Desikan this way:

"adiyavarkku MeyyanE! Ayindhai Vaazhum manju yenavE
aruL pozhiyum vaLlalE! Ninn Vadivazhahu maRavAthAr
piRavAthArE "

Oh Lord , who never fails to protect and bless His adiyArs!
Oh Lord who rsides permanently at Thiruvayindhai as
the cloud of Dayaa showering Youir anugraham on
Your bhakthAs ! Those blessed souls , who do not
forget Your dhivya soundharyam will never ever be born
again in this karma bhUmi .

Swamy Desikan concludes this Prabhandham with a moving
SaraNAgathy at the sacred feet of SrI Achyutha Parabrahmam
of Thiruvayindhai and seeks Lord DevanAthan's protection before
the noose of Yama dharman is thrown at him :

"venchoLar kaala dhUthar veesu paasam venthen mEl
vizhunthuazhunthi yaanayarnthu veezhvatharkku munnamE
Nee anjal anjal anjal yenRu aLikka vENDum AchyuthA
adiyavarkku maruL iyakkum adiyavarkku MEyyanE "

Let us seek the blessings of Lord DEvanAthan to bless this Kaimkaryam
and offer our SaraNAgathy to HIm in the way shown by Swamy Desikan .
