I am currently in my second year at Harvard Divinity School, working toward a Masters of Theological Studies degree. I first read The Moviegoer about 5 years ago, while teaching English in Hungary. Although I have still not found the right adjective to describe my Hungarian event, Walker Percy's work has certainly pushed me in the right direction.

My work at HDS involves the study of religion and the media, both in the United States and abroad. In fact, I am taking a year out of my studies to work for WGBH public radio as a journalist/assistant producer on a program called the World. My real passion, however, is Kierkegaard, and, of course, Walker Percy's use of Kierkegaardian ideas and characters. Other than that, when I am not at Fenway taking in a game, I prefer sitting in comfortable chairs, sipping on a 12 year old Macallan single malt, and listening to Coltrane on the stereo.

I have watched this website grow and change over the last year, and I am pleased to see how it has developed. Keep up the good work. I would definitely like to know more about upcoming Percy-related academic conferences and calls for papers.
