[percy-l] Artie Shaw's "The Artist in the Materialist Age"

Folks, my response just goes to show that a person should not type in
haste; I meant to say that Ralph is an eminent scholar, not imminent.
His published history will demonstrate my typing error.

I have heard Ralph many times and know him personally through a mutual
friend; I wish I could be there, but I am in Texas and cannot be in
N'Orleans that quickly. I encourage everyone who can to do so. By the
way, Ralph is an imminent scholar on another Catholic writer: Flannery
O'Connor. He has also written extensively on Tolkien.

Dear list,

for anyone in the New Orleans area:

There will be a lecture presented at that Baprist Church at the corner
of St. Charles Ave and Broadway in New Orleans on Friday at 7 p.m. and
the following morning at 9 on the Moviegoer by Ralph Wood from Baylor. I
haven't heard Dr. Wood but i understand he is excellent. It would
probably give Walker a boost to know that he is making inroads among the
Baptists. Any takers?
