Yeah, especially when I read the part about "planting electrodes in a
region near the center of the brain called Area 25. .....Dr. Helen
Mayberg, a neurologist, had detected in depressed patients what she
suspected was a crucial dysfunction in Area 25's activity. She
hypothesized that the electrodes might MODULATE the area and ease the
depression".

I feel like sending a copy of Love in the Ruins to this Dr. Mayberg.
Sound familiar, Doc?

I haven't read the whole article yet, but, boy, does that immediately
bring LitR's lapsometer to mind. Percy was nothing if not prescient!
