"EnterTech will be a solution
and a tool for what critical social theorists
understand to be essential to the economic
well-being of the poorest class. The project
is an opportunity to test the limits of collaborative
economics with the best that technology can
offer."

Dewey was the visionary and creative initiator
of the EnterTech Project, working closely with Dr.
George Kozmetsky to formulate the ideas that became the
ambitious statewide project. His company, Interactive
Architex, managed the multimedia production of the project
until his death in February 1999.
Dewey was a pioneer in instructional technology
since the mid-1980s. He received national
awards and honors for his work in developing and producing
interactive multimedia to benefit the education of at-risk
students.
His legacy is the vast yet close-knit Austin
multimedia industry community that he supported and nurtured
through the genesis of the SXSW Interactive Multimedia
Festival, the Austin Area Multimedia Alliance, and the
Austin Multimedia Incubator. Dewey also contributed to
the community through his church and volunteer work for
organizations too many to enumerate.
Dewey's considerable talent, intensity, generosity
and friendship are greatly missed.
