God Hid His Face
Selected Poems of RAJZEL ZYCHLINSKY

When the Trees

When the trees are naked,
free of birds and leaves,
on their branches darken
empty nests.

Autumn nights will hatch
snows in the empty nests,
worries in the empty nests,
short, blind days.
