Nope, Basically the Earl Mountbatten adopted Philip who was tangentially
related to the Earl. Mountbatten's name was originally Battenberg but due
to anti-German sentiments during WW I his father changed it. At the same
time the Royal family changed their name from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor.
