Summaries of roleplaying games, from my webspace or others. We've been playing for years, and perhaps this amuses noone but ourselves... but that's enough

Seattle by Lava Lamp, part 1 & part 2

Vampire: the Masquerade | GM: Josh

One of the few Seattle-era stories, this one is a novella written by Michael (Roderick) and loosely based on the canon created by our first major Vampire game. The original game was the first I think I played in, and was set in Seattle, WA--one of our earliest and most persistant storylines. It began when we were all still in college, and featured an assortment of vampires, fey, and at least one entirely brutal redcap. Characters that would appear throughout later tales included Roderick, a Malkavian with a penchant for tie-dye and nuclear weapons; Bashir, an incredibly bitchy Tremere (read: Sabbat) with lots of fire powers; and Trevor, a Fey Prince of some sort with lots of really archane issues.

This adventure ends (sort of)--years later--with a massive battle with the sons of Adam at the Alamo.

Red Moon Rising 1/2

Vampire: the Masquerade | GM: Michael

Set in San Francisco, 1932, during the reign of the Emperor Joshua Norton, just after the great earthquake. Little exists of this storyline--but I bet it's on paper in Michael's gaming books somewhere...

The Madrid Chronicles

Vampire; the Masquerade | GM: Michael

Bashir is by far my favorite character, but this pair of games might be my favorite story. The first part is set in 1095 Spain, with a cast of 6 vampires, fairly young, but not unpowerful. Constance, Celeste, Rome, Colin, Quill, and Aner lay waste to Nibelheim (among other places and individuals) and end up fighting the Crabmaster... a big bad that reaches out of a portal in the sky.

"What clan are you, again?"
"Lycanto. We're a Celtic clan. Been around for a while now."
(writing and speaking) "L-Y-C-A-N..."
"Now, Rome, that should ring a serious bell."
"I'll write: 'L-Y-C-A...*pause, erase*...R-A-V-N-O-S' and say, 'Good to see you again, Colin.'"

And, then, we continued the tale some 900 years later, in the US. Our 6 were then 5 (Quill's player had moved away), but now were unspeakably ancient and incredibly powerful. Though that didn't stop us from finding ourselves stripped of our powers in a lunatic asylum. And the cause of our troubles? A rock. Seriously.

"We're five nine-hundred-year-old vampires, and we're drag-racing?"

Over the river and through the Underdark, to Rashemen we go

Forgotten Realms | GM: everyone

One of our classic Dungeons and Dragons adventures. This is just one part of a larger story. We took turns DMing, swapping our characters in and out, while moving through the maps of Dungeons and Dragons' Forgotten Realms campaign. We spend some time in Waterdeep, bravely battled some mean roast chickens, fought the underworld (and some crazy golems). This part of the story picks up where Kat and I took over--having our own characters kidnapped by Drow and imprisoned in a roman-style slave camp, replete with colossium. They kill each other a couple of times, then end up in They.

The Dizney Game

Vampire: The Requiem | GM: Bascha

(in progress)

Our first real pass with a Requiem game, kind of bastardized with Masquerade rules to suit us and to suit canon. Heavily sprinkled with werewolves and mages. This game is set largely in Orlando, Florida at the home of the Mouse. The party might also spend some time in Clearwater, Florida... just to make things interesting. Withrow and Bashir might make appearances, and the new cast of characters includes one vampire (Kenneth/Desmond/Richard), one mage (David/Michael) and one... something else (John/Josh).
