I guess this is not the same as the 1973 "Grammar of Contemporary English" 
by Randolph Quirk, et al. (Longman/Addison Wesley) with 1120 pages? I 
couldn't fine "A Comprehensive Grammar of the English Language" listed at 
the Longman Addison Wesley web site, nor listed at bookfinder.com. Is it 
now out of print?
