I assume that should be 'Il. 1.39'. I checked this in the latest edition of
LSJG and find a note in Glare's 'Supplement': s.v. SMINQEUS: "cf. Myc.
SI-MI-TE-U, pers. n." That, of course, is spelled in the Mycenean Linear B
syllabqary. I suppose what this means is that there's at least one Linear B
text suggesting an archaic form of the epithet as SIMINQEUS. I'd certainly
welcome any other information; what exactly is the "Tabular Iliaca" that it
should have this gloss on Iliad 1.39 and when (roughly) is it dated to?
