FWIW, however you come out on this, you must first stick with the form of the
word. Gal 2:6 PROSANEQENTO says nothing about what Paul did, but rather addresses
what was done by the hOI DOKOUNTES. Thus, your options are more like the following:
a) "these . . . people added nothing to me"; or b) "these . . . people did not
consult me at all." What seems to me to be ruled out, however, is any translation
like "I did not consult these . . . people."
