Le pronom est absent de D05. Que dire de son insertion dans les autres
manuscrits? ["The pronoun SOI is missing in D05; what should we say of its
insertion in the other MSS?"]

It would appear that the result has been somewhat prejudged here when it is
said to be an "insertion" in the other manuscripts. Could it not just as
well be an "omission" in this MS? Perhaps it would be best to speak of its
presence or absence so as to not prejudge the correct reading.

As regards the meaning: I'm not sure that it makes a great difference unless
one were to suppose that the child had been fathered by another.
