Semantic Range of BAPTIZW/BAPTISMA

Having a look at LSJ as well as the Biblical lexica suggests that there is a
well established metaphorical meaning of the word as well, along the lines
of "to be overwhelmed". Some have argued that this metaphorical meaning is
far more prevelant in the NT than many have given it credit.

As for the 'watery' i.e. literal meaning I decided on my own gloss to cover
almost all cases: "to get very wet" :-)
