Neuter plurals - singular imperatives

Thanks for the responses, they put me on the right track. I had a QUICK look
at the LXX and found a couple of relevant examples there.

Gen 1:20    EXAGAGETW TA UDATA
Gen 1:22    TA PETEINA PLHQUNESQWSAN

Apparently the grammatical rule has not been strictly applied by the
translator of Genesis. If the situation is different in other books (and if
it is a construction ad sensum: animated vss not animated) goes well beyond
what I wanted to know in the first place.
