FHMI occurs 66 times in the NT + one in compound (SUMFHMI). According to 
Accordance, all are in the first principal part (thus EFH is always imperfect in 
the NT). In the LXX all occurrances are in the 1st PP (Accordance). I think the 
3rd pp would have either SA or KA in the active indicative. It is most often 
used to indicate that someone (in narrative text) answered an inquiry or 
accusation. This use of the imperfect is comparable to what some call the "historic 
present."
