New Testament Greek Study day, 2003
The University of Birmingham, U.K.
22 October 2003

Under the auspices of the Classics Centre of the Learning and
Teaching Support Network, the third annual study day for teachers of
Greek takes place on the campus of the University of Birmingham from
10.00 am to 4.00 pm on the 22 October 2003. The day includes:

- lecture and discussion on why learning Greek is worthwhile for
students of theology and religious studies;

- debate about the value (or otherwise!) of memorisation of
vocabulary, paradigms, etc.;

- two 'streams' of seminars on (i) helping beginners learn Greek;
(ii) helping second years read the NT in Greek;

- an update on the projects on producing materials on John's Gospel
in Greek for 'beginners' which is being funded by the LTSN Classics
centre (who are also supporting this study day financially).

Full details, including a booking form are now available from either
