[B-Greek] question about regularly occurring acronymns

Having just acquired a copy of BAGD for $25, I cannot help but wonder 
if that wasn't a mistake.  How much better is BDAG than BAGD? (I.e., 
will I get laughed at if I continue to cite BAGD in public?)
